The Florida Holocaust Museum is greatly appreciative of the many educators that have contributed their expertise and commitment to this ongoing project. They believe in the importance of teaching students the "lessons of the Holocaust." This educational framework is available to guide you in the implementation of Florida's Holocaust Mandate as well as to assist you with developing lessons that integrate character education, safe learning environments, and a vehicle for higher achievement. We have aligned this framework to the Sunshine State Standards and with best practices. We hope you find this easy to use and full of additional resources to help you develop meaningful lessons.

Please check out our grade appropriate literature based teaching trunks. They are available at no cost to a teacher for classroom use. They are shipped to your classroom and then picked up and shipped back to us. They are filled with the best selections of literature, resources, DVD, and reference materials. Each trunk is accompanied by a teacher resource guide. Please go to www.flholocaustmuseum.org to reserve a trunk.

An extra special thank you to the Florida Holocaust Museum's Teacher Advisory Board Members for their ongoing work on this framework. The most recent revisions were made by Bernadette Bennett, Curriculum Specialist for Sarasota County Schools and Curriculum Liaison to the Florida Holocaust Museum.  Also, extra thanks to Aimee Alvarez, the Museum's Administrative Assistant, for the Frameworks CD cover design, and to Erin Stagner, Curatorial Affairs Department Coordinator, for her tireless efforts in preparing Frameworks for publishing.
