The ten million Reichsmark note is an example of transitional money from the Berlin Central Bank issued on September 15, 1923 and it was valid until January 1, 1924. New bank notes were issued with high frequency because of the runaway inflation. Some cities issued their own money or script called, "NOTGELD."

NOTGELD was temporary paper currency issued by municipalities during the inflation that were valid for a short period of time. A small percentge of these issues contained anti-Semitic images.

The Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the Univeristy of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota provides information and an online display of pre-Nazi (1920s-1933) and Nazi-issued currency with Anti-Semitic images or references to the concentration camp system in their Web site's Numismatics section.
