The Florida Holocaust Museum and The FHM’s Lawyers of Conscience invite you to attend a public program titled: “Eugenics in America: A History of Injustice,” Presented by legal historian and author, Paul A. Lombardo, PhD.,J.D. on Tuesday, December 3rd at 6:30 p.m. at The Florida Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg. This lecture will be one hour, followed by a question and answer session. Light refreshments will be served.

Dr. Lombardo is the author of Three Generations, No Imbeciles: Eugenics, the Supreme Court and Buck v. Bell and A Century of Eugenics in America: From the Indiana Experiment to the Human Genome Era. He will discuss the history of Eugenics in the U.S., including an overview of involuntary sterilization legislation in over thirty states, the Buck v. Bell case, and the impact of the Eugenics movement in the U.S. on Nazi policies of racial cleansing. He will also discuss the subsequent use of eugenics to determine population control policies internationally and various legal issues raised by genetic testing in the Human Genome Era. Don’t miss this exciting lecture by the foremost legal expert on the history of eugenics in the U.S.
